Cancelation Policy

Refund, Cancellation & Reschedule Policy

15-Day Refund Window

  • You have 15 days from the time of booking to cancel for a full refund, minus a $100 administration fee and a 2.5% processing fee if payment was made by credit card.

  • This window allows time to confirm dates with your group. Refunds must be requested within the 15-day period.

Rescheduling

  • Reservations may be rescheduled within the 15-day booking window. Each reschedule incurs a $100 administration fee.

  • New dates must be within the same season. Rescheduling outside the 15-day window will be treated as a cancellation.

  • If rescheduling after the 15-day window, we will refund half your booking fee only if we are able to rebook your original dates, minus the $100 administration fee and 2.5% credit card processing fee (if applicable).

Avalanche Conditions

  • If the Colorado Avalanche Information Center (CAIC) reports HIGH or EXTREME avalanche danger in the Sawatch Range (Below, Near, and Above Tree Line, on all aspects) for the date of your reservation, you may cancel for a full credit (minus the $100 administration fee and 2.5% credit card processing fee if applicable).

  • Credit must be used before the end of the current season.

COVID-19 Policies

  • If state or county mandates require closure of the hut, or impose group-size restrictions smaller than your party, you will receive a 100% refund.

  • If you choose to keep your reservation with a reduced group size due to such restrictions, your nightly fee will be recalculated at $75 per person per night.

  • The Lost Wonder Hut follows Chaffee County restrictions.

General Notes

  • All cancellations are subject to a $100 administration fee and 2.5% processing fee for credit card payments.

  • We strongly recommend purchasing trip insurance to protect your reservation in the event of illness, weather, vehicle issues, or other unforeseen circumstances.
